OWC FAQ

Updated for 2025 OWC

What AGE is appropriate for OWC?

The target age for the Ohio Warrior Camp is 13-22.  However, registration outside of this age range will be considered based on each individual.  Each camper should be mature enough to respond with internal motivation in the face of hardship.  Older campers will provide leadership and encouragement to the younger campers.

Will there be enough FOOD to eat?

YES!  This might be the most important question on a young man’s mind!  We recognize that physical activity takes a lot of fuel.  Participants are free to bring supplemental snacks.  There will be gluten-free options available if needed. Please make note of any special dietary restrictions on the registration.

How should I PREPARE for OWC?

Run and exercise! Participants should be able to run several miles at a moderate pace. Pushups, planks, sit-ups and other body-weight exercises will be part of several workouts. Be prepared for anything!

Are DADS required to attend?

No. But DADS – do consider attending! Dads will be encouraged through manly fellowship with other dads and challenged mentally, spiritually, and physically (if they so choose).

What will DADS be doing?

Dads are welcome to participate in any of the physical challenges.  Dads are encouraged to attend the teaching times and also to spend the day on camp grounds to interact with the young men.  Each dad will have time for meaningful conversations with their son(s) and be able to encourage them throughout the event.  Dads will have the opportunity to share wisdom from their life experiences.  Dads will get a little more sleep than the young men.  There will also be time for dad-fellowship and some additional dad-programming.

Where will Dads SLEEP?

Dads will sleep in separate location from the young men in the basement of the Craig house.  Dads should bring similar bedding, toiletries, and supplies as the young men. Please contact us if you have an air mattress you can bring.

What should I BRING and NOT bring?

See the OWC main page for details about the camp and what to bring.

WHO is running OWC?

The event is coordinated and run by George Craig and he will be directing the programming.
The Craig family will be providing meals as part of the registration cost.
