FDD – FAQ

Who should attend Ohio Family Discipleship Day?

OH FDD is an event for the entire family! Parents, young adults, and children of all ages are welcome. There are some sessions geared towards specific age ranges, but the content for all sessions is appropriate for all ages.

Will the sessions be recorded?

Yes, the speaking sessions will be recorded and made available on the website.

Will any childcare be provided?

No, there will not be any nursery care provided for the event. There will be a cry room available if needed. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend.

What do we do with our young children?

Some parents may choose to bring their children to the event and some will make other childcare arrangements.  Either approach is fine.  The auditorium is large enough to spread out some and a little children noise is expected and welcome as long as it is not disruptive to the sessions. Quiet activities such as books and drawings may help with young children.

What is the age range for the children breakout sessions?

Based on the registered number of children attending and the space available, the plan is to offer two different children’s sessions for approximately ages 3-6 and also 7-11.  However, the age range is based on a child’s maturity level and is parent-directed.

Young adults ages 12+ will be meeting separately as part of the breakout session.

What will the children be doing in the breakout sessions?

For ages 3-6, there will be activities geared towards children.  The intent is to provide a fun interactive time with the opportunity for kids to get up and move.  Children need to be able to follow directions and participate in a group.

For ages 7-11, children will be watching an age-appropriate DVD.
